"Dying for freedom isn’t the worst that can happen. Being forgotten is."
Faces to Names
Faces to Names brings remembrance to life. Currently in development, Faces to Names will be a free online resource that serves as Canada’s national site for student research, education, and year-round commemorative inspiration.
Faces to Names: 2020 (Pilot Project)
Inspired by the Dutch foundation, “Faces to Graves,” and the 75th anniversary of the Dutch Liberation, the Faces to Names: 2020 pilot project commemorated the 28 men on Guelph’s cenotaph who are buried in the Netherlands.
A QR code on the display boards located at Guelph’s cenotaph, Guelph’s Stone Road Mall, and the University of Guelph connected viewers with the men’s profiles on the website.
